Inspiration

I wanted to learn how to make a local co-op game so I first started looking for interesting games that focus on co-op and preferably are also local. After looking at multiple games that I play myself I decided to narrow it down to co-op games that make the players manage 1 thing together.

The following games include managing 1 thing together:

• Regular Human Basketball
• Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
• We Need To Go Deeper
• Barotrauma
• Catastronauts
• Sea of Thieves (Not local)
• Guns of Icarus (Not local)
• BFF or Die
• Overcooked & Overcooked 2
• Think of the Children
• Bonkies

The bold games make the players manage a vehicle or ship together with their characters physically being in the vehicle or ship.

The final concept is to make my own version of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. This game concept is very easy to build upon if new ideas appear.

This small analysis lead to writing up a Game Design Document.
